Balekambang Beach

Balekambang Beach
Balekambang Beach is a beautiful white sandy beach featured with an exotic temple standing magnificently on the beach. Balekambang Beach also has an amazing tide to see. At a glance, it looks like Tanah Lot, the beach with an exotic temple in Bali, but Balekambang Beach has a bridge which is connecting the temple and the beach. Beside, It also has a long coastline where the visitors can do some beach activities.

Ismoyo Temple

Ismoyo Temple is the name for the Hindu temple which is standing gorgeously on the huge rock. This temple is built in 1980. It is connected with the brigde from the beach so that the visitors can reach the temple.

Location

Balekambang Beach is located at Bantur, Malang Regency, East Java Province, Indonesia. It is 65 Km from the nearest city, Malang City. From Bantur, You should go to the Srigonco Village (or Desa Srigonco in Bahasa Indonesia) to reach the beach.

You have to get Malang City first before you go to Balekambang Beach. There are several flights from Jakarta to Malang City. You can also reach this city by bus or train from Jakarta, Surabaya, Solo, Jogja, and other cities.

How To Get There

Rent a car or motorcyle in Malang City if you don’t want to waste your time on your trip. But if you don’t have a problem with the time and want to use public transportations, here are my tips:
1. Take an “angkot” or “len”, a public transport van, which has code AMG from Malang City to Gadang Bus Terminal. It only needs 15 minutes to get the Gadang Bus Terminal from Malang City and costs Rp3.000.

2.  From Gadang bus terminal, take another “angkot” or “len” to Bantur via Gondanglegi for about 2,5 hours. It costs Rp20.000.

3. From Bantur, take an “ojek” to the beach cost RpRp40.000-50.000 for return trip. It needs about 35 minutes.

Remember, the entry ticket that you have to pay at the entrance gate is Rp7.000.
